Ok...so here's a little more about me!

Photography came into my life as a serious venture when I started working with Big Heavy World, a non-profit based out of Burlington, VT, when I was a wee 14 years old. Before that I used to buy those crappy 35mm cameras from the drugstore and shoot roll after roll of my friends until they broke. Since then, I've managed to develop a much better eye and technique.

Thanks to my Grandad, I ended up with a Fujifilm digital camera and we became inseparable. It was one of those nifty point and shoots with a few manual settings which sent me on a good path on learning to use an SLR camera. I got my stubby little fingers on one of those after I convinced my Dad to buy a Nikon D100 off a friend as a Christmas present (I'm a spoiled Daddy's little girl.) when I was sixteen.

From that point on I began seeking work as a photographer and learned about the advantages of toting around a pro camera! I offered up my services to local bands and companies in exchange for backstage passes and access to age restricted shows.

I've been working with Lotus Entertainment for over two years and have recently established a solid relationship with Halogen Records. I also do occasional work for The Aztext, a VT hip hop group, and Justin Cruz and Randy Russell (DJ Russell) of the Justin Cruz Salon in Burlington.

Where I'm from, you say? I've mentioned Burlington a lot already but I've been sort of floating around the Northeast since I slipped into this world. Everywhere from the most unknown corners, to the gayest, and then some. New York City (place of birth), Provincetown MA, Danby VT, and Whitehall NY, to name a few. But, as it would seem, Burlington VT has become something of a home for me. My family is freaking huge...but I can say that my heritage is mainly Austrian and Guyanese.

And, finally, where do I want to go? I've recently begun working full time on some college degrees which include business and photography. I actually don't want to be a photographer. I would like to own and run a business (venue / gallery / local crafts) wherever I end up gluing my feet. For now though, I'd like to travel.

I owe thanks to so many people for the success I have been growing into over the years. Without their faith in me and the opportunities and help they have offered up, I would never be close to where I'm at now in my life. Those people continue to support me to this day and I am forever grateful and loving towards them for that...

 A i m :
  • Photography has always been a personal project for me. I am most interested in examining urban culture and my generation through the lens in a documentary style. This is attractive to me because it's real and spontaneous. I shoot to remember. I shoot to create something beautiful. I shoot to express myself.
